Night, James

If I'm being honest, I'm really glad summer is over. Not the season in general, but this one in particular. One area of life has been going great. Starting anything new has stress attached, but it's been great and I'm really happy. Other than that, nothing has felt right, normal. Due to schedules and some unforeseen circumstances the band didn't have a show for two months and then I hurt my leg fourth of July weekend. A lot of the things in life that make me happy I couldn't do. I was immensely frustrated and a little sad this summer. But, as with all things in life, time takes care of most. My leg felt good enough that I was able to do an actual (albeit small) bike ride this weekend. 10 miles felt like 50 and I was so happy I started crying. We've go tons of shows coming up in the fall and a few other exciting developments are on the horizon. Despite the tinge of melancholy, there were still a lot of nice things about this summer and we managed to squeeze in a picnic on the river yesterday to say goodbye in style.
