Beef Ragu with Polenta


What's better on a freezing cold day than something warm and fabulous cooking in the crockpot? On just such a day recently, in between drinking some fabulous pinot and watching Dr. Zhivago, I made a huge batch of Beef Ragu. Think of it as pot roast cooked in homemade marinara sauce - all day, yum! I paired it with polenta, which I think is a healthy and unexpected way to change things up from the normal pasta accompaniment. It's also ridiculously economical and healthy to boot. You can find the recipe here. I kept a bit for myself to enjoy through the week and gave the rest to the boys next door who I hope are enjoying it very much!
