Foggy Mountain Breakdown

Here's the breakdown from this weekend's mountain adventure.....

  • As long as there's plenty of wine, every weekend should be spent at a mountain cabin.
  • When in doubt, break out the cowboy boots.
  • Everything tastes better when it's cooked in bacon grease.
  • I love horses and I wish I had the money and the time to ride again.
  • Foggy Mountain Breakdown is a actually a great instrumental the boys in the band rock at every show. Check out Church Hill Music Co. this Saturday at Cooper Vineyards!
  • Did I mention every weekend should be spent in a cabin?
  • I like silence in the morning. My brain has to wake up before my lips can.
  • I love cheese.
  • It is possible to antique tooooooo much. Although I love it, I apparently have a shelf-life.
  • I get scared when the path isn't clearly marked.
  • Every night should end with a fire...beautiful and mesmerizing. Unfortunately, it also brings up all of your demons. They live in those scalding coals and torment you for sport. Sorry, tangent.
  • If you are told you will not have cell and/or wifi service for 48 hours and are not prepared for this your heart will actually stop.
  • Life is a mountain you have to climb. Sometimes alone, sometimes with others. There are steep parts that wear you out and make you want to turn back. There are tiny hills along the way that have to be traversed as well. I have no idea where I am in my journey but I hope I'm on the down slope of one of those hills......
