It's Friday, Love

{ Catching up on book club reading = Ugg boots and lighting my new lavender apple candle }

This week has been busy but very rewarding. I was working in Washington, DC for a few days attending the National Hemophilia Foundation's Annual Advocacy Day. One of my companions for our meetings was an adorable 7 year-old boy who did a wonderful job explaining his condition to Congressional Staff and Members. He also let them know why he needs help accessing his medication, which costs three thousand dollars a week. He had a lot of fun and I told him to look me up when he graduates from college so I can hire him.

I'm looking forward to relaxing this weekend as the next couple of weeks will be busy with even more trips for work. Here's some shots from my week. I hope you have a fabulous weekend!

{ Fabulous fare from Dixie Donuts in Carytown }

{ A beautiful shot of the Russell Senate Office Building in DC }

{ A belated birthday card from Anthropologie, I think they're right it will be! }

{ The Dirksen Senate Cafeteria is known for its ice cream, my favorite is Butter Pecan }
