Apple Picking

{ Carter Mountain Orchard in Charlottesville }
On a gray day not so long ago I ventured up to Carter Mountain Orchard with some friends to take part in that most American of fall activities....apple picking. Apparently it was a bit late in the season so we had quite a hike up the mountain to the area where there were apples actually left, but it was worth it. Check out my apple pie post from last week here and you'll see why. I would also recommend picking up 9 {oops} 1 package of the cider doughnuts they were amazing!

{ Our tour guide }

{ Plenty of pumpkins }

{ Love decorating with these }

{ Apparently people have been wondering }

{ A few hundred feet later, seriously? }

{ Oh, you weren't kidding when you said we had to pick them off the trees }

{ A group coming down the mountain graciously gave us their "apple-picker" }

{ A beautiful harvest }

{ Feels like fall }
