[This month's book club selection] |
"The circus arrives without warning. No announcements precede it, no paper notices on downtown posts and billboards, no mentions or advertisements in local newspapers. It is simply there, when yesterday it was not."
The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern
I'm not sure how it happened but I am actually part of two book clubs. I'm an over-scheduler by nature and am certain I can accomplish more than I actually can. If I was a character in this book I would simply create extra versions of myself or stop time for everyone around me while I calmly finished my tasks with a waltz. Although I won't divulge Marco and Celia's fate, I will tell you that this was an amazing book and we all loved it. From the first page you absolutely feel transported. There is no other word for it. I would describe it as Water for Elephants meets Harry Potter. Do yourself a favor and pick up.....Le Cirque des Reves.
