A couple of weeks ago I traveled to Memphis to speak at a conference. Luckily we had Saturday night free, so we put on our party dresses and headed down to Beale Street. It did not disappoint. Fabulous barbecue and wonderful atmosphere. I will definitely be back!

Beach Reads
A Fatal Waltz by Tasha Alexander, Number 3 in the Lady Emily Mysteries Series |
It's that time of year again......I'm getting ready to make my yearly sojourn to South Carolina for a vacation with my family. This summer marks 23 years and over that time the trip has become more than a vacation; it has evolved into a ritual. Keep in mind I'm Catholic, so I find this comforting.
My absolute favorite part of this ritual is selecting my beach reads! This holy rite began around 1997 when I graduated from reading Seventeen Magazine and moved on to trashy novels:). My tastes have changed somewhat since then and to make my very exclusive yearly list is not an easy task. Some of my favorites over the years have been recommendations from friends, so I polled my posse of great readers for their favorite picks. I hope you enjoy!
It's 5 o'clock somewhere!
